North Fork, Meeker Highlight Week 8 High School Football Slate

Grand Junction Montrose, CO, October 16, 2026 —

Week 8 of Friday Night Frenzy in the Grand Junction-Montrose area features several high school football games, with league-title contention and conference wins among the key storylines.

North Fork and Meeker are highlighted as they compete for the 1A Western Slope League title. The available summary does not specify whether the teams play one another this week, provide their records, or describe what each would need to secure the title. It identifies the league race as a central focus of the week’s coverage.

Montrose and Central are also on the schedule, each playing a home game while seeking a conference win. The summary does not name either team’s opponent or give game times, locations beyond the home-game designation, or details about the teams’ conference standings.

The Week 8 preview therefore centers on two related objectives: North Fork and Meeker’s pursuit of the 1A Western Slope League title, and Montrose and Central’s efforts to add conference wins at home. No scores, game results, player details or subsequent developments were provided.

Further specifics—including the opponents for Montrose and Central, the matchups involving North Fork and Meeker, and kickoff times—were not included in the summary. The games are presented as key contests in the Grand Junction-Montrose area’s Week 8 high school football slate.
